About Mr Jamie

The practitioner behind Eduuplay — and the person your child will work with, session after session.

Child concentrating during a challenging task

Founder story

I started Eduuplay in 2017 after watching bright children fall apart at the first sign of difficulty — children who could read every word but crumbled at a hard chapter. With a background in psychology and years inside schools and early years settings, I became convinced that literacy, movement, and resilience cannot be taught separately.

So Eduuplay was built as one integrated system: structured phonics, real physical challenge, and deliberate resilience practice — observed, tracked, and adjusted session by session.

Philosophy

Children become unshakeable the same way anything becomes strong: repeated, supported exposure to difficulty — with someone steady beside them. That is why the three domains exist. Reading gives a child the words. Movement gives them the body to act. The Engine gives them the voice that says "I can try again."

We stay with families long-term, from age 3 to 12, because development does not happen in ten weeks.

Our shared values

Respect

We listen to each other. Educator and student alike are treated as people with a voice, not a score to fix.

Equality

We hold the same standard for ourselves as we do for our students — the same effort, the same expectation, every session.

Fairness

We tell the truth both ways. Progress is reported honestly, and effort is recognised wherever it appears.

Kindness

Firm and warm. We hold the line together, and children stretch furthest when they feel safe enough to try.

Diligence

We hold high expectations for every child — prepared sessions, tracked data, and consistent effort, every session.
